Schiaparelli rhodium plated earrings with black glass stones - vintage 1950s

Set on stylized ‘wing tipped’ leaf stems, these silver toned clip ons feature a patinated finish along the leaf veins,likely from a japanned technique, commonly used in mid century design. A darkly romantic, oval-faceted black glass stone is prong set on each. An ethereal yet slightly gothic offering from the Parisian fashion house, the Schiaparelli signing & patent number is engraved on the back clasps. Dimension estimates Height: 1.5” Width: 1” In very good vintage condition. Some oxidation on the clasps consistent with age.
