Vintage 70s OOAK Handmade Bald Mountain Moccasins Ankle Boot Renn Faire Festival

These beautiful, one of a kind, handmade moccasins are crafted from buttery soft golden buffalo buckskin with light brown and black deer hide trimmings and handmade elk horn buttons. Popular with Renn Faire, Festival, and Playa goers, these collectible and highly sought after boots were custom made for my mother by Richard Burden (aka Richard Lightfeather), the founder of Bald Mountain Moccasins. Note: these are a unisex design. Measurements & sizing (approx): Size 8-8.5" interior Sole from heel to toe (bottom side of shoe): 10 3/8" Across the widest part of foot: 4" This is a thicker buckskin and will form to the foot over time which makes them very comfortable. 3 hand crafted elk horn buttons on each boot Brown ankle fringe Easy slip on and lace up design Comfortable sheepskin footbed Non-slip man-made rubber sole with ridges for traction Black leather lacing Brown deerskin trimmings Origin: Bald Mountain Moccasins, California. These boots were custom made by him in the 1970s. Condition: Excellent Vintage condition. These have been worn a few times. Please note that some flaws in the leather are due to the nature of buckskin. There is a scuff on left foot at outer small toe (see last pic). Care: Wash with cold water, oil while wet, drip dry inside. Ships in 2 days, M-F, from non-smoking home.
