Lobby cards were once used by movie theaters, along with full-size posters, to advertise upcoming and current films. In the 1990’s, lobby cards fell out of favor and are now no longer used. 8 exciting scenes from each motion picture would be chosen and lithographed on to thick cardstock. This 11x14 inch lobby card is from 1983 and is from the final chapter of the original “Star Wars” trilogy - “The Return of the Jedi”. This is the most desirable of the eight lobby cards since it features five of the six main characters. This card does have some condition problems - bends and creases around the edges and some age discoloration (see photos).
