GORGEOUS Early Deco Era Wire Wrapped Pools Of Light Rock Crystal Necklace

🪩ERA: 1910's to 1930's 🪩CONDITION: Good (see photos) - wear is minimal given the age - very minor scuffing and minimal scratching - all spheres are intact and undrilled - all but two spheres wrapped in sterling wire. - brass barrel clasp & jump rings - spheres measure approx. 10.50mm - total length on necklace is approximately 27" - 36 total, with 34 spheres on the necklace - 2 spheres are loose and missing wire, it's possible the spheres were pulled from the length of necklace deliberately to create matching earrings. Jewelry featuring these mysterious rock crystal orbs, also known as... "pools of light" began to appear late into the Victorian Era, and became more prevelant as Chinoiserie jewelry started to trend and post WWI trade routes with Asian countries allowed for greater access to precious and semi-preciouse stones like jadeite, onyx, and crystal quartz. Popularized by the flappers of the roaring 20's, who often wore long strands of these wire wrapped orbs, which had a unique way of catching and refracting the light.
