CARSI Taxco Sterling Silver Pebbled Oval Bezel Black Onyx Enhancer Pendant on Round Snake chain Necklace There isn't much known about Taxco's Silversmith 'Carsi' other than that his work is fondly known along with other artists of Mexico's 20th century Silver Renaissance. His work often features the gorgeous Pebbling beautifully detailed on this pendant. I am enjoying collecting (and rescuing!) several of his pieces. Some for myself, and some to share with you all. I'm not certain about dating on this Pendant. It is starting to develop a bit of patina, and has extremely minor surface scratches, but almost seems as if it's never been worn. It has an enhancer style bale; So, (with enough space between) it could be attached to a pearl or beaded necklace. Chain is definitely vintage, shows wear, and has some nicely developed patina, but still shines, and is in great condition. This type of chain (sometimes called omega) has a little bit of stiffness to it, so (due to shipping) it may arrive a bit "mis-shaped" but you can carefully adjust it to lay to your liking with gentle fingers and pressure. Chain is a collar or choker 16" length, but it has a lobster clasp, so you could add an extender if need be.
