secondchances77 Hi Ourlife, so sorry for the late response, I somehow missed your question when you sent it. In response, the jacket does have a hood, it tucks in to the color under a velcro tan. Obermeyer jackets are the highest quality and yes this can be for skiing, or you can use it just around town. Let me know if you have any other questions.
