Genuine Egyptian Scarabs for Jewelry-Making These scarabs are from my unused overstock supply from my jewelry-making days. I got these in Egypt, but I never got around to using them. Each hand-carved piece is unique, and no two are identical. They vary slightly, and the largest is 1" long. There is a wide hole in each, which allows for using leather or other cords if you like. Due to the hand-made nature of each, there may be some slight imperfections, lending uniqueness, authenticity, the signature of an ancient relic, and a rustic look. This sale is for a lot of 4 turquoise-colored scarab beads. These are carved out of soapstone or steatite, a soft stone that becomes hard when fired (forming enstatite).
