Sand Dollar Fragments: Handcrafted Earrings

Brokenness doesn't disqualify beauty; it helps us reimagine what is beautiful. Collected at low tide, these sand dollar fragments emerged from rough waves to become tiny canvases: washes of mica-based paint form the gold backdrop for a startling poppy motif. These shell fragments were collected, cleaned, and painted by me; they measure about an inch / inch-and-a-half in diameter. (Please note that as a result of tide activity, the fragments are not uniform. Their natural shape is unchanged.) Bronze tone hooks come with clear, flexible silicone backings.
