Hi, not sure what you mean by what happened to the back of the shoe? We are out of town visiting Family right now for the holiday. I can look them over again upon our return. As far as true to size, I can try to Google it to see if there’s any further info I don’t know anyone that’s a size 11 in men’s to try it on. If measurements would help I could also add those to the photos or listing. Thank you very much for your interest and enjoy your holiday as well. 😊

Hi and happy Memorial Day, I added two more photos to show the back of the shoes. There is a slight discoloration, but other than that, these are really really nice. I found someone to try them on and they feel that they are true to size. 🙂
