I would consider the coat medium weight. The exterior of the pocket measures approximately 6 1/4” x 1 3/4”. If you put your hand inside the pocket, it is approximately 7 1/2” deep.

@ejanead Thank you for your inquiry. One tag reads “Wool,” and another tag reads, “This garment contains a certain percentage of wool.” I guess that means if it was 100% wool, it would say it. I don’t know what that % is, but the coat is warm.
