theboyle6@hissweetthing My Ring appraised at 8k for insurance purposes and the ring that I was looking at that was even close to similar was 18k. I would never put thousands of dollars on a credit card for a ring. No matter what I bought I was buying with cash. I guess that I just didn’t see the point in spending an extra 10k just so that it would appraise at 10k more. Instead I bought a 1ct wedding band to match. It isn’t easy to create a near perfect 3ct diamond - which still reads as a diamond

theboyle6My 3 carat oval cut lab diamond with a 1 carat natural diamond setting from a reputable jewelry store on jewelers row cost over $7500 - and I got a deal. Just because you can get a lab diamond online cheap doesn’t mean that it is good quality and it definitely doesn’t have a beautiful and intricate setting. This is a good deal. If you don’t think so then doing but it. Go buy your ring out of a bubble gum machine and hope that it doesn’t fall apart

hissweetthing@theboyle6 In all fairness let’s be real… yes the ring is very beautiful but for me I would rather pay 7,500 towards a real Diamond. If it’s not the size I want I’ll pay 7,500 down on it and if it’s 10,000 I’ll put the balance on my credit card. That’s just me. Like you said no one is forced to buy it. I know the most I could see myself paying on for lab diamonds is about 3,500 otherwise I want the real thing.

theboyle6@mthrower24 It’s not a fake diamond. I did get it appraised for insurance and it appraised for 8k. To get a colorless lab diamond at 3ct or above with no inclusions isn’t easy. I almost got a similar ring for 18k but the diamond wasn’t as nice and the side diamonds (which are earth grown and over a carat on mine) weren’t as big. Seemed pointless even if it would appraise at 10k more. Instead I also bought a 1ct wedding band and an opal and diamond ring while I was in the USVI
