Vintage All-Suede Ranch Blazer—Men's M—Hollywood Hippie Chic—Handmade in Mexico?

ITEM: Vintage Bespoke 1970s Suede Jacket “Blazer”—Men’s Medium—Groovy Country Western Disco vibe—Incredibly Thick, Heavy—Handmade in Mexico? LABEL SIZE: There are no tags of any kind on this garment but we guess it to be a “Medium” (based on our size of 6’1” height / 185 pounds / long arms—on us, the chest is a bit tight & the arms are about an inch short) OUR APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS IN INCHES: Pit to Pit: 21.50 Shoulder (Seam to Seam): 18.50 Arm Length (Shoulder Top Seam to Cuff End): 24.50 Length/Height: (Collar Bottom Seam to Tail): 31.50 CONDITION: VERY GOOD. Light smudging & scuffing, but this vintage beauty has no flagrant flaws: No holes or stains. No fraying. All the (suede-covered!) buttons are attached. Silk (?) lining has a few smudges but no holes. SUMMARY: The photos can’t do justice to the heft of this jacket. It is the thickest, heaviest suede we’ve ever felt—sturdy enough for wrestling bulls. We’re guessing this artifact was custom-made in Mexico for a Los Angeles private eye or the foreman at John Fogerty’s ranch—but we could be wrong about that. In any case, this is an instance where a high-end label isn’t needed to establish quality or style. SUMMARY, PART II: One of a kind? FEATURES: Two buttons on front; 2 hip pockets & 1 chest pocket (each with a button). 1 interior (open) pocket. 11-inch vent on back. FABRIC: No labels but this jacket is clearly made with 100%, v. thick suede. MADE IN: Mexico? No labels—but that’s our guess.
