Late-19th Century c.1880s Antique Large Chinese Rustic Teak Wood Ox Cart Wheel

Premiere example of a Chinese 19th century rustic ox cart wooden wheel. Handmade Chinese wheel is pierced in its center with a square hole reserved for the axle tree. Having a weathered patina since its long use in the 19th century Asian salt mines. The overall height of the piece is 30 inches including iron stands, while the width and height of the wheel is 24 inches x 26 inches. Antique wood does not age/shrink proportionately. Hence, 24" x 26". A vintage, mid-century, or modern would measure 24" x 24" or 26" x 26". Excellent gift for an office or den. Two iron stands can be mounted upon a base and displayed. *Essentially, this is petrified wood and therefore extremely heavy, approximately 48 lbs.
