SOLD 3/23 on Etsy This antique honey yellow coopered bucket is hand painted (either contemporaneously or later) with splendid folk art wild flowers and tole flourishes, primarily in brown and green. Wood staved sides with metal bands and the most exquisite patina and charm. Ideal for use as a Planter / Jardiniere, mudroom or foyer Storage Bin for umbrellas, hats, or anything, or a purely decorative object to add farmhouse appeal to any room. Reasonable offers considered! Wood buckets, such as this one, were used for collecting berries or maple sap, carting farm supplies or as a pantry bin. I do not think this one ever had a hook or handle like some sap or utility buckets. SIZE: Measures 8 1/2” H by 9” diameter at the rim (7 1/2” diameter at the base). Interior height is 7 3/4” H. CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition with b patina and only the expected period or “honest wear”. Some white paint and other marks (see photo 5), which could be removed, if desired. No structural damage or missing pieces.
