From the famous San Francisco artist Walter (Margaret) Keane, for sale is a vintage, 1960's black/white print called BEST FRIEND. This print is a masterpiece just waiting to be framed. This awesome vintage print measures 11 1/2" X 28". We know Margaret was the artist but per history, Walter's name is on it. *** PLEASE NOTE: These prints are 60+ years old. They may have yellowing to the paper from age, creases, bends, dog ears, pin holes. I have a few left in my collection.

decodizzy @frankietotheb It was printed in the 1960’s…basically a print. Original would cost a few thousand $$$. These prints were sold in supermarkets in the 60’s as seen in the movie Big Eyes.

decodizzy @frankietotheb Hi, no problem. Ask anything and I’ll see if I can answer. Well it says lithograph on it so I assume it is. I’ve owned these for over 30 years when I inherited my father’s large collection of Keane art. I have not seen any reproductions in all these years. These have yellowed some from age but still very nice.

frankietotheb Do you have a copy of this without any staining? Or is the yellowing really visible? I’ve been searching for this piece for a long time.

decodizzy @frankietotheb There are no stains but the paper itself has yellowed. I have some other black and white Keane prints from the same time period but they are not as yellow as this particular title. Well it’s six decades old but I’m pretty good condition for age except again, paper is a little yellow.
