Vintage 50s Black Floral Brocade Dress Set with Kitten Bow Waist Audrey Hepburn

Dress: Sleeveless Kitten bow at waist Long center back metal zipper with hook/loop No lining Bust darts Seaming in bodice front and back Fitted bodice and waist Inverted kick pleat back center hem Hem length approx. just below knee Bolero: Lining in body only Single hook/loop closure at top (hard to use) Round collar Bust darts Elbow darts Sleeves that are just to the bottom of your elbow, possibly 3/4 length Cropped The only tags are AFL-CIO union label and a Size 9 label in the dress. The label in the bolero is falling apart, but I think it says “Lot” and Size 9. Please remember this is vintage, and it runs MUCH smaller than modern size 9! It is an XS based on the waist of the dress Set is in excellent vintage condition showing little evidence of wear. Measurements are taken with the garments lying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the garment itself, so please be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy! Dress: Bust measured just below the armholes at the widest part: 35” Waist: 23” Hips: 36” Overall length from center top of shoulder to hem: 39 1/4” Bodice length from center top of shoulder to waist: 14 3/4” Skirt length from waist to hem: 24 1/2” Bolero: Bust measured just below the sleeves: 35” (can open a bit wider since there aren’t any closures there) Overall length from top of shoulder to hem: 12” Sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff: 16”
