Vintage African Carved Bone Necklace

Vintage African bone necklace. Beautiful vintage carved bone necklace. Likely African, made in the first half of the 20th century, somewhere between the 1930s -1960s. Made of carved bone, probably 🐄 bovine (it is not ivory🐘!). Lovely multi-strand design with five strands of rounded beads gathered into a rectangular bead with reticulated floral design, then woven together to lead up to a carved toggle style clasp. I particularly like the length of this one, many of this style tend to be longer but this one sits high on the chest. Good vintage condition but there are some chips to multi-strand beads, you can see some in the close up photo. 17” long when open
