You are correct, this was a promotional combo from Matrix Curl Life hair styling products. They had marketed a couple of sizes and shapes, filled with new product, as an intro special. Curl Life spray gel was pulled off the shelves - due to some dangerous ingredient which led the entire line to be discontinued in the early 2000's. And, there's your trivia for the day! 😁
