UNUSUAL 1930s' BROWN HAT WITH POINTY SIDES AND CRISSCROSS BANDS AT BACK

This small, but powerful brown straw hat from the 1930s' is so unique. The hat is composed of two conical shapes attached by a circular shape at the center, and by crisscrossed straps at the back, surely to attach the hat on top of the hair via hairpins. This is such a beautiful hat that surely will cause a sensation when worn today. Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
