This Beautiful Art Pottery Vase, by Nemadji, was created at Moose Lake in Minnesota. It was molded of white clay, which is native to the area, then fired and left in a bisque or ‘unglazed’ state. Its fascinating and colorful design was achieved in a most unusual way… it was dipped in house paint! The process, which was used for all Nemadji pottery, involved different colored paints floating atop a vat of water. A small bit of vinegar was then added to help separate the paints. Lastly, the fired vessel was hand-dipped and swirled in the floating colors. The pieces did not have to be refired and dried quickly, creating uniquely decorated pots every time! This vase was done in Teal Green with a touch of both gray and milk white. The result is Simply Gorgeous and is sure to make an Attractive Addition to any Shelf or Table Composition! EVC with no major flaws I can detect. I have not cleaned or touched it up in any way. It measures approximately 12.25 inches tall by 6.25 inches wide and deep. The vase you see is the actual piece you'll receive, so please examine the photos closely for additional information on condition. More pics upon request. It is signed to the base with the traditional Nemadji maker’s mark. Cross posted. Thanks!
