Chris Hess sculpted the charismatic Five Gaiter model in 1961. This gorgeous Palomino was made between 1962 and 1971. They feature four high socks, a bald face, and yellow ribbon with red Xs. As one of the early releases, the Palomino still has the ribbon-end sticking out past his mane, which is missing on later models.
This fellow is in very good condition with a scattering of tiny and pinpoint specks in his finish. He is a great example of vintage work, with soft highlights, unpainted eye whites, some un-sanded seams, a high-gloss finish. Breyer modeling company circle stamp.
Pictures are part of the description, please zoom in to see an accurate representation of the quality and condition. I have tried to accurately represent the condition but this is a vintage item, sold as is from a Smoke Free home.
