This vintage carved wood base/stand dates to the 1960’s. A family friend owned an oriental shop in North Little Rock, Arkansas during that time period and this came from her shop. The base is 7 1/2 inches (inside measurement), it is 21/2 inches tall. These stands were used for lamp bases and to display pieces of oriental art, vases, jade figurines, etc. It is in very good vintage condition.
