This stunning sterling silver .75" Raven bracelet is hand carved by Kwakwaka'wakw First Nation artist Paddy Seaweed.
Bracelet measures approximately .75" x 6.25, with a gap of about 1". Signed PS. In excellent condition.
Considered a master carver, Patrick Seaweed is a member of First Nation, a Native American community of the Pacific Northwest, Canada. He started to carve at an early age, and was influenced by his brothers, Kwakwaka'wakw artists Norman and Alfred Seaweed. Paddy was trained in jewelry carving by Kwakwaka'wakw master carver Lloyd Wadhams. His style is distinctly Nimpkish in the Kwakwaka'wakw aesthetic, and he is well-known for his silver jewelry.
Ravens are creatures whose curiosity often gets the best of them. The Raven is responsible for putting the sun, moon and stars into the sky. Also symbols of prestige and knowledge.
