This is Teddy. We rescued him from the Sonoran desert hobbling along a pack of wild dogs the other day. He is 9 weeks old and was severely attacked by some dogs . He has open wounds that are all over his body from the attack. We think he is a chow , the vet said he may be, regardless, if we didn't see him at that second he would not be alive today. He is very loved you can see, even though I have not had a dog since childhood. .. we all are doing our best to save him but the hospital expenses we were not prepared and he is too sweet not to give him the best care. The vet said he was bitten by several dogs. Thanks for your loyalty and for helping us save Teddy We had to stop everything all week to ensure he will be safe from harms way. ****We are having a 50% off sale right now , any 3 items if you add to your bundle we will send an offer of 50% off (or so can you if you wish )) **If you choose to use this as a "donation" listing, I will print you a high quality photograph from my cannon print paper . I have 2 posh closets and this is mine (@Anticulture and my hubby has @cultureshock20, if you dont see something in my closet, please check out our other shops Update-- Teddy went back to the doctor and he is healing well, but has a way to go as his legs still have wounds on both of them from the bites

erikaleebeehope he is not getting into whatever that white stuff is next to him on this floor

Feb 15Reply

jahjahjewelry@erikaleebee that was diatomaceous earth food grade we had down because he was also covered in fleas . Besides the flea baths you have to take care of the home so it doesn't spread .. but its nothing.. he doesn't eat it , and if he did, it would only get rid of some parasites. But meanwhile its gone-- it was just there for 2 days )))

jahjahjewelry@erikaleebee thanks for your concern ))))))

jahjahjewelry@erikaleebee we are in mid desert and really mean people dump animals out here. I have never seen this before.. its so sad. We do what we can for the strays, but this infant was a mess. I only pulled in 3 cats, the dogs, well, I was attacked many years ago by a pitbull, I am not scared of dogs, per say, because i take care of the strays also.. I just never thought about letting one in, Good thing this is a chow , a puppy and loves cats.

jahjahjewelry@erikaleebee I never needed so much to take care of a wounded stray.. but its fine.. I am thankful I am a jewelry designer and have a second shop @anticulture where i tie dye clothing and etc ))

starraetherGod has so blessed us with animals and it is just hard for me to F.fathom how human beings can be so cruel and thoughtless --and of course I'm referring to whoever is (& those like) the culprit(s) who abandoned this pup. How many days since you found little Teddy?

Feb 16Reply

jahjahjewelry@starraether The vet said we found him at 8 weeks about a week ago. I wonder if he was suffering out there for too long... he has been sleeping all week like a log.

Feb 16Reply

starraether@jahjahjewelry I truly love dogs.... They are better than many people. How is Teddy Bear today?

Feb 16Reply

jahjahjewelry@starraether hahah , yea , I know what you mean. I haven't had a dog in years- its not that I sought him out, he was just so freakin cute we had to grab him from pack of dogs. The dogs we saw were not attacking him at the moment and it could have been different dogs than the pack he was with. Anyway he is improving daily . He goes back to DR in a few days ) His wounds are closing and the meds are working )))) WHEW-- that was 2 weeks of unexpected being a nurse mommy rescuer .....

starraether@jahjahjewelry How is that 'lil cutie Bear today, JahJah?

Feb 17Reply

jahjahjewelry@starraether HI!!! thanks for checking!! Exhausting.... hahah... washing him, and it turns out he is a chow chow -and finding out how to train him has been a learning process. Chows need to have things repeated like 80 x , even with praise and treats... but yes-- he is showing happy signs and healing skin. The first week he only slept , now he is not showing any signs of permanent damage . Cheers!
