Lady Liberty is on the obverse side of the 1994 1/4 oz coin in front-facing relief as she strides forward toward the viewer with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. A family of American bald eagles is on the reverse design, showing a bald eagle nest with a female eagle and hatchlings inside. A male eagle soars overhead with a branch in its talons.
