This tote features VTG American watercolor art of Aronia arbutifolia berries, a deciduous flowering perennial shrub plant in the Rosaceae family. The fruit is depicted in varying shades of red, pink and white surrounded by yellow and orange leaves. Red Chokecherry is native to Eastern Canada and the Central and Eastern United States. An interesting fact is that its fruits, while tart and bitter, can be used in making jams and jellies. Synonyms include Pyrus arbutifolis and Photinia pyrifolia.
