@alison_colby thank you for your question. It means that they take an actual ruby from the ground and cut it but it probably has a lot of fracture. So they infused glass into the fracture so that it’s more stable and durable I hope that answers your question. It’s still a really nice ring and a really pretty ruby for the price.
