This is such a beautiful unique vintage piece. I found the same item sold with vintage jewelry in an auction on invaluable.com for $110. I placed it in this very long chain and wrapped it around the neck then let the rest fall another 28”. You can slip it over your head or wrap it several times around your neck and close using the lobster clasp closure. The two metal pieces attached were used to line up the shadow for telling time. Versatile and intriguing, you will have many questions about the piece.
