NWT NOS vintage deadstock “dirt shirt” from 1996 Santa Fe Indian Market. This is the 75th anniversary tee for SWAIA - Southwestern Association for Indian Arts. It features a gorgeous Native deer dancer from renowned clay sculptor and artist D. Andrew Rodriguez (Laguna Pueblo) called “Before the Hunt” from 1995. It’s really cool that the original art piece was made with clay, and this shirt was dyed its orange-brown hue with clay.
Size men’s medium. Never washed or worn. Deadstock 1996.
“DIRT SHIRT
The southwest is famous for its red rock formations. This shirt is hand-dyed with 100% PURE RED DiRT. The individualism of each garment ensures the uniqueness of your purchase.
Washings may alter the color of your shirt down to sitter earth tones. The initial washing should be done by hand, in cold water with 2 tablespoons of vinegar.
