Sylvia Pedlar Iris Lingerie co. 1920s Silk Charmeuse and French Lace Nightgown

Vintage Sylvia Pedlar by Iris Lingerie Company NYC Delightful antique candlelight Ivory silk Ballerina gown with lace trim. Very Rare indeed! This was one of the first gowns Sylvia designed for Iris Lingerie Company This dreamy confection could be worn as a wedding gown, as it would be really lovely for a garden wedding, barefoot or with silk slippers. There is even a tiny blue silk bow for "something blue " The lace-trimmed waist fastens in the back with 2 buttons, 2 buttonholes, and a silk drawstring. The bateau neckline bodice is graceful, trimmed with very fine French lace, and the pleated, gathered skirt is ankle length the gown is of the finest silk charmeuse, it is a beautiful thick pure silk charmeuse satin Very good condition, the seam has come undone on one side and will need to be sewn back, it is only part of the side seam and the silk is thick and strong. It feels luscious! One very minor snag that has been smoothed out, it is unnoticeable Very clean, and One of the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen, Sylvia Pedlar was known as the Dior of lingerie.
