The sequins are 'donut' shaped, mottled in colour (sort of dark silver, black and bronze - they even out overall) and thickly encrusted all over the dress (except the sheer silk back). Sequin material is lined. Note that the velvet ribbon tie at waist is stitched in place across the rear, hanging loose at the sides so you can tie it in the front as you wish.
