Gorgeous Vanity France Limoges Pujol Sculpted Enamel Paris Powder Compact

The vibrant colors of this stunning Limoges powder compact from France are impossible to capture in photographs. The shades of pink, the green and gold leaves, and the shaded aqua blue background could only be Limoges. The rose petals and leaves are raised and sculpted in three dimensions. The brass frame has a tarnished spot on the upper left edge. The back is etched with elegant striping, tarnished in spots. I have not attempted to polish the tarnished areas. The unique latch bar pulls slightly away from the top of the compact to release it. Inside, the mirror is clear and reflective, but has worn areas with silver loss at intervals around the perimeter. The original powder sifter has a thick, flocked edge and is perfectly fitted to the well. There is powder residue beneath the sifter. There is no puff.
