Circa WW2 1940s HBT herringbone twill army utility jacket. This style was first created in the early 1940s and was used with modifications into 1950s Korean War. The jacket has two big utility pockets on the front. It buttons closed with five star metal buttons - these buttons clarify that this was used in the army versus other branches of military. The jacket also has metal buttons along the collar - they would be used to attach a gas flap. Has a name patch as well as patches on the sleeves - this soldier was a part of the hell on wheels division - an armored division of the United States Army that played important roles in the invasions of Germany, North Africa and Sicily and in the liberation of France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Jacket is marked a size 36R with measurements in photos - but can be worn unisex. Overall in good vintage condition with a few small marks, holes and wear.
