boldlikeyouHey! Just wanted to let you know that messages like the one above asking you to contact them off posh is a scam :( They will send fake posh purchase emails and ask your bank info to "deposit" the funds. New users get flooded with comments like that unfortunately. Just report and block.

geekedoutstyleHello. The top message was sent by a scammer who wants your email - they send phishing messages to steal banking/posh accounts. Posh blocks email addresses in messages, that’s why it looks odd. I’ve reported this account. Tap the flag next to their message, then tap spam, it will remove the message (only the listing owner can get it removed instantly). Tap their name, then the 3 dots on top right to block them. Keep all interactions on Poshmark for buyer/seller protection. Happy Poshing!

lorryporry@geekedoutstyle ok. I've received an email from Posh stating someone has purchased and it wants me to click on a link then asks me to text a representative to verify info... so this is a scam u said?

geekedoutstyle@lorryporry Yes, that is a scam to steal your info. People have lost their banking info, credit card info and Poshmark accounts from this scam. If the item sold on Poshmark, the app would send a notification, you’d have an email with a shipping label, the listing would be marked as sold so no one else buys it, and it would be on the sales section of the app.

geekedoutstyle@lorryporry This is why we tried to warn you not to email them photos - they’re lying to get your email address, there’s nothing wrong with the photos. Poshmark doesn’t ask you to click links to get your info, you do it all on the app. If you went to the scammer site and entered your info, contact your bank, credit card, etc whatever they asked you to do. Change your account passwords and contact support.

geekedoutstyle@lorryporry To contact Poshmark support, tap on your closet icon bottom right (if it shows your listings tap the icon again to see a list of options), scroll to the bottom, tap Poshmark Support Centre, then tap Contact Poshmark Support and type in your situation.

To block the user, tap their name, tap 3 dots on top right and block. To report the scammers message, tap the flag next to their message, then tap Transaction off Poshmark. To remove the message, tap the flag next to the message then tap Spam, it will remove the message (only the listing owner can get it removed instantly).
