"This ¾” thick August Imgard House is hand screen printed on the front and back. It is part of a four-piece series of buildings called Hometown Christmas Series, created by Cat’s Meow founder, Faline Jones. This series was introduced in 1992 and retired on December 31, 1992.
In 1847, August Imgard moved from Germany to Wooster to live with his brother. He missed the Christmas traditions from his homeland, so he headed to the woods and cut down a spruce tree. He brought the tree home, deocrated it and put it in his front window, thus beginning a tradition that would spread all throughout the United States."
The trademark black cat, Casper, is on the scene. Handcrafted in Wooster, Ohio.
