Antique Victorian sterling silver 9kt gold gilded diamond cut paste pin brooch

Excellent antique condition! Features 24 hand-cut glass paste stones. Gold gilding is still very much present on outer setting, sterling silver has been revealed on underside inner and around prong settings. This incredible brooch dates to the Victorian Romantic Era between 1837-1860 and is considered the Victorian's version of the Georgian revival! Pretty funny to think that whoever wore this may have considered it to be "retro". Hand-crafted tube hinge and c-clasp fastener functions perfectly.
