VINTAGE Doncaster Sun Dress with Wrap or Head Scarf, Size 12, $48

Oh yessse! Rare find!!!! This is the quintessential Jackie Kennedy Onassis late 1970's look! It was not uncommon for Doncaster to make clothes for celebrities and more. I am marking this dress as a size 12. It is designed with a back zipper closure. The dimensions are: 38" bustline. There is a 39" waist (pull string allows it to be adjusted smaller). It is 46" long, and there are 6" straps which can be adjusted because of the button. It measures 18" from top to waist. The dress material is not indicated nor is the size. The fabric feels like a polyester. The scarf is amazing! It can also be a wrap. It measures: 76" long and 19" high (triagular size). Per the tag, it can be machine washed. It has been washed with fragrant free soap and pressed. Very nice condition Pet and smoke free home. If unfamiliar with Doncaster, here is what I pulled from the web. "Doncaster has been featured on the pages of Vogue as well as in the New York Times and Chicago Tribune. Doncaster was not following the fashion, but was at the beginning of fashion." Doncaster, founded in 1931,and closed in 2018. The company, was based in Rutherfordton, N.C., was a division of the Tanner Cos. It started as the Doncaster Collar and Shirt Co.
