This is a highly collectible piece of Dodgers history.
On March 29, 2008 a historic exhibition game was played at the L.A. Coliseum against the Red Sox celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Dodgers in L.A. This was a wild and crazy night! The crowd of 115,300 set a new Guinness World Record for attendance at a baseball game. Were you there? I was. I remember waiting for HOURS after the game ended to get one of the shuttles back to the parking lot at Dodger Stadium. Thousands of people waiting all night long - we finally got back to the car at 2:15 am--and then had to drive home! What a special night!
I have had this cup since that night. They were only available that night, and most are long gone. One one side was the commemorative graphic, and on the other either the Coke bottle or a Miller Lite logo. This is the Coke one, which is apparently more rare and valuable than the ML cup. This has been put away in a box for 15 years. It deserves to be on display somewhere.
