Vintage ~ Antique ~ Handmade Trunk ~ Early 20th Century ~ Rustic ~ Farmhouse ~ ! A great piece of Americana type item. Handmade "treasure box" style trunk with hinges and locking mechanism (not working - stuck in locked position). Was part of a purchase that included ephemera, old photos, and personal documents from early 20th century. Some of the documents were related to individuals who immigrated from Europe who later became naturalized citizens - it is possible this trunk came with them. Wood construction that appears to have been a reddish brown, with black trim and hardware. Hinges intact, but loose. Interior was lined with a paper that is peeling in spots. A bit of odor like old paper acquires - not terrible and you have to make an effort to smell it. Item could be restored, but the charm of it is in it's current state. Perfect vintage receptacle for some of your treasures. I will be posting the photos, etc. that were in this separately, bundle for discount. This item is old and has been around for probably near 100 years, please to not purchase and expect a pristine item. My home is smoke & pet free. Thank you for looking.
