Natural, Untreated Black Spinel & White Zircon Ring, Size 8

Black spinels are really beautiful gems! As opposed to black diamonds, which are often dyed, black spinels are all natural and highly reflective. This sparkling, ornate ring has glittering natural zircons encrusting a platinum layer over sterling silver (marked 925). The four-prong setting contains a beautiful 4.00ct (approximate) natural oval black spinel—black spinels are rare, and are strong gems with an 8 Mohs hardness rating (10 being the highest). The stone is checkerboard cut to really grab the light (pictured here is green reflections from a fish tank—there’s no green in the stone itself), and measures approximately 11mm by 9mm. This black spinel—as a natural gem—has one surface-level inclusion (about a pinpoint-sized cream dot, circled in green, and not very noticeable—please see video). Any questions, please ask!
