Alas, Basketville in Putney, Vermont is no more. They manufactured beautiful hand made baskets since 1842. This beautiful double pie basket was handmade by the skilled craftspeople of Basketville in Putney, Vermont, makers of quality baskets and buckets. Each basket was handwoven from sturdy ash or oak splints. The splints are hand-drawn with a knife from a cut of timber. This rare basket features a removable “shelf” to allow you to stack two pies on top of each other, without allowing any contact. The double pie basket is 8"H x 13"W x 13”L. It can be used as a traditional picnic basket, as well. Used twice, it is in excellent condition.
