Ceramic Herb Jar, Handmade Lidded Pottery Jar, Rustic Sgraffito Leaves

One of the most lovely pieces of vintage pottery I’ve stumbled across. Entirely handmade, this beautiful vessel is the perfect treasure for your kitchen counter, tea cabinet, or altar. Highly detailed and brimming with all sorts of texture, the body of the jar is decorated with a realistic branch of leaves, each frond coming to life as the edges appear curl up and peel away from the container itself. Sgraffito style ribbing / scratch texture throughout, completed a a natural glaze that is a few shades darker than the lid. The lid itself is smooth, complete with a spoon notch and divot top for added versatility. As demonstrated in photos, if you would prefer not to store food items in this jar, it makes an excellent vase, and the top easily doubles a stand for incense cones, crystals or other spheres, etc. (Eucalyptus branches and coral piece are NOT included with purchase, used for photos only!) No flaws, no chips or cracks that I can see. Because the design of this piece was intended to be as naturalistic as possible, there are intentional inconsistencies present in the glaze, overall shape, and edges of this piece.
