Sterling Silver post Silver-tone Hoop Earrings

Sterling Silver post Silver-tone Hoop Earrings. Purchased these from a local secondhand store and come to find out these are two different metals combined. The poster stamped S925 sterling silver and do testers sterling silver but the rest of the earring is magnetic and does not test sterling silver I assume this to be steel or another alloy. These might be hypoallergenic earrings meant to prevent any nickel for making contact in the year but I’m not entirely sure buying them secondhand.
