Vintage 1960’s Signed & Dated Nan Caro Hand-Painted Travel Purse

Vintage 1960’s signed & dated Nan Caro hand-painted purse “Cotton Patch” . Travelers Hand Painted Picnic Basket Novelty Hand Bag or Purse Woven Wood Signed Elaine Ego by Caro Nan Vintage 1960s Quilt Lined. This special vintage bag is in excellent condition for its age. It is a picnic basket style with woven wood pieces making the body and a solid wood piece for the top. It is decorated with hand painted and sticker elements that involve traveling. These were usually custom made for the client. The theme seems to be Places the owner of the bag may have visited in their lifetime and include, France, Rio, Italy, Paris and New England, as well as other locations within the U.S. The interior is lined with a quilted fabric. The wood lattice and deco pauge of this vintage purse is in very good condition with some loss of felt to the bottom of the purse. Measures 5.75” x 9.25” x 6.25”, with a 3.5” handle drop.
