Since Kate Moss flashed an earful of their pearls in a 1990s campaign for Calvin Klein, Ten Thousand Things cofounders David Rees and Ron Anderson have become known for creating delicate jewelry pieces that have a nuanced edge. The Tahitian pearl (or black pearl) is an organic gem formed from the black lip oyster (Pinctada margaritifera).
