VINTAGE WANJIANG MUDMEN VASE JUG SIGNED CHINA

This vintage Wanjiang mudman vase or jug is signed by the artist & is from a loved ones sojourn to China when they worked for the airlines. Measuring 3-1/2”x2-1/2”, it features an incredibly detailed Chinese mudman just hanging out, taking a rest on the top of a khaki tan glossed jug vase. The man’s incredibly life-like expressive face, beard, & hands are unglazed while his clothing is in a green, teal, & tan glaze. His brown glazed hat is hanging down his back & his tool is hanging at his side. This fella is in EVC with no chips or cracks & his fingers are all intact. He has a marking on his forehead that I’ve been told was there when purchased. The mud figure vase was inspired by a wine pot of a Tang Dynasty poet. Poets believed the more wine they drank, the better their poems were!
