“StarGazer Lily Vase” Original Gourd Art Vessel / Vase Kristina Simkins ©2014
I chose a Large Gourd and StarGazer Lilies were the focus when I created this art piece.
A combination of Pyrography, Carving and Water Paints, I Free Hand the artwork with a Wood Burner, Paint and Seal the Gourd by Brushing on a Flexible Acrylic Sealer. This One of a Kind, Original Gourd Art is NOT intended to hold water even though the inside is sealed.
• Gourds are a Natural Canvas and no two are alike.
The approximate size is 10.5” Tall x 12” in Diameter.

@artbykristina Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep so I just do a Show. I've been thinking that I would like to use that time to display the work of handcrafters in our group. I won't be running any auctions (cause most people will be asleep😁) but I'm hoping this will send people to our Closets to look around. Since this is my fav, I picked this one of yours to Show if that's okay.
