Thank you so much for visiting my closet! 🥰 This is an authentic vintage Carlos Falchi leather purse or shoulder bag made of textured gray leather. This crossbody purse is made in a vertically rectangular shape with gray zipper closure. It has a leather shoulder strap that measures 21”. The front is embossed with Carlos Falchi name amidst an alligator, a caiman, a python and some sort of mythical winged beast. The embossed area is framed with gray stitching. Carlos Falchi started business during the 1970s by making custom hand crafted clothing for Patti Smith, Miles Davis, Tina Turner and Mick Jagger. He turned his attention to making purses and over the years his customers have included Jackie Onassis, Sharon Stone, Cate Blanchett, Mary J. Blige and Tiny Fey. He is known for using exotic skins including python, alligator and caiman, hence the animals pictured on the flap. This is a very collectible early Carlos Falchi purse - wonderful quality in a disco era style!
