SALE! Lovely early 20th century sash buckle. Rectangle shape, gold tone metal with marcasite decoration. The marcasite adds some sparkle at the corners and the centers. Notice the long prongs. It is unmarked. We are placing this as early 20th century and feel it represents a transition from the flourishes of art nouveau to the more geometrical, minimalism of art deco. Marcasite was a popular add-on in the '20s, '30s. Size: 3 3/4 x 1 7/8" Condition: good vintage--we have cleaned the back, a small green spot was thus eliminated. #j6390a
