This tapestry was prepared as a single piece on the back strap loom in Chichicastenango in Guatemala’s Quiche region. Combining the volcano motif with the stylised bird at the edges (popular in San Juan Comalpa), this tapestry plays with the different hues of brown in the supplementary weft brocade technique. Please note- staff not included. This product was sourced directly from artisans and doesn't come with price tags. This piece was purchased by me in Guatemala directly from the weaver, for an old business of mine. It’s 100% genuine, and from Guatemala.
